It is, and I am. I can't afford medical treatment yet, so I am going to practice alternative methods

there may be programs based in your county in place to help you. I recommend you give social services a call.

There may be, but from what I have seen... everyone around here wants money. They don't really want to help those that are on the edge, they are just worried about getting that money in their bank. I don't have money, and I'm scared that if I get turned away once again, I may lose it

ouch. Yes, I can see your situation. I have some friends in very similar straits right now. The thing is, they play the squeaky wheel. If you don't get what you need/ are entitled to, make noise, keep showing up. That all takes some courage, and such courage is often very hard to summon for people like you and I. I hope your interim methods work for you. Try to laugh... for suggestion, look up peter gaulke on youtube.
