I was inspired by the the awesome pokemon fan art Kujacker did of Makofushii(Delphox) that I wanted to do my own. Truthfully, that post was the reason I looked up the new pokemon since I totally missed the debut.
I feel the design was inspired by the samurai. He has long arm hair that resembles a keikogi, and his fur "skirt" looks like a hakama. he carries a stick that he sticks in his robe(like the saya of a sword) when not in use. I saw a lot of fan ideas on the final form of Fennekin before it was released, and I have to say they absolutely went in the right direction. The design in unique, cool, and creative.

The original version of this is in the scraps pile. The moment I finished inking it, I decided I didn't like it and was going to redo it. The basic idea is still the same, but I changed the design in a few places to make it pop more. I really want to get this colored in the near future.
