The terminal lateness of my current commissions is really starting to bother me, so I asked my straw boss at work if I could have Monday off. I was gonna use it to catch up on work. But she told me that days off must be applied for two weeks in advance. Well, shit. If I could predict the future two weeks ahead, I'd have a better job, now. She suggested calling in sick. I might, but I hate lying. Feh.
That said, here's a Spontoon commission I just finished.

For those that are curious:
The smirking vulpine in the foreground is Max Vreeland, one of the protagonists in the story "Kocha Koi" on Spontoon Island. Among other things in this story, he and his badger mate have been assigned to get a submarine ready for the Chinese Navy to use against the Japanese. During the shakedown cruise, they decided on a little piracy, and sacked a luxury yacht operating out of Haiphong. The feline in the background, Monique Bao My (a Tonkinese, note the ao dai she's wearing) was humiliated by Max during the incident, though thanks to the intervention of a passenger, it didn't go any further than that.
Which is not to say that MBM didn't want her revenge. As for the clerk, Max is gratuitiously taunting the hotel's chef over the telephone. The clerk is, needless to say, on the side of Monique in this matter.
Besides, at Shepherd's Hotel, Tonkinese cat femmes smacking Catalina Island Foxes over the head with cast-iron omelette pans is relatively tame.
