Yes of course you can swim at the beach on Christmas - but you'd want to swim at a beach which has a lifeguard, and swimming between the flags so you're safe from being swept away with the rips in the water, and that there'd be a lifeguard there to save you incase anything happened

As for snow, I don't think I'm missing out too badly lol

It's a matter of taste of course. But I love snow. It's AWESOME!

Yes XD I grew up in snowy mountains. Christmas needs to be cold and dark - so christmastrees and stuff can glow even brighter *_*
Also I'm from the area with Krampus-Tradition. He is just more scary when he comes out of dark, snowy woods.

Being on the other side of the world I can say I have no idea what Krampus tradition might be - also everyone's celebrating "Thanksgiving" whilst we're all like "wtf?"

Krampus is some kind of demon that comes from the mountains to snatch naughty kids at christmas (or just bring them coal instead of presents) He is the Companion of St.Nicolaus. But this tradition is not very wide spread. Just here in Austria and Hungary.
And yeah...No idea about thanksgiving XD But i love to hear of traditions from different countries. Do you have anything special about your christmas too?

No not really sorry! - Oh and it just clicked - you're German and therefore not in the US? Now I can relate with someone who also doesn't do thanksgiving lol
