So i follow the owner of the shop Coyotestar on Etsy on tumblr, and they had gotten in a gorgeous red coyote pelt and were talking about making him into a headdress and I pretty much pounced because I've wanted a red coyote pelt forever and yes
Wow
I'm in love. Such a gorgeous pelt. There are a lot of holes in him, and some places the person who skinned him thinned the skin out a bit too much, and his tail is ratty, but you know what? He's gorgeous. I saw him and I fell in love and now he is here and I am very happy.
So uh yes my face and his face. Yay. I'll take a picture of his full pelt soon.

There is levels of beauty - the beauty of death that mirrors the beauty of life, because without one there isn't the other. The aesthetic beauty of the pelt which is different than the typical gray-brown of regularly colored coyotes.
I do understand you are not of the same mind and that's okay. You have your opinion and I have mine. I personally don't see the sadness in the death of an animal as long as cruelty and suffering were not a part of it. Death and Life is all one cycle, and for me personally the pelts and bones and skulls I collect are like a symbol of that cycle, dead but still with a purpose in the living world.
