But I do have a bit of something to say about the species. Aside from the name, "Maned wolf" is not related to the wolf. Despite the coloring, it is also unrelated to the fox. In fact, they are a completely separate Genus than the wolf (Canis) or fox (Vulpes.). They actually belong to the Genus: Chrysocyon.

Yes, I know this. They're neither a wolf nor a fox (which is why I put both in the tagged words) as they're known as maned wolves or stilted foxes but are a single pocket species in South America. In other words, they're technically the Earth's version of a rare pokemon XD
