Nice! And yes, the character is correct, for simplified Chinese. "龍" is the traditional Chinese character; "竜" is the shinjitai character (Japanese simplified character; commonly used in some Japanese compound words).

Love the colors and the expression on the dragon. Really cute looking. (Technically though with 4 toes on each claw, it's a Japanese dragon not a Chinese one. Chinese dragons have 5 toes on each claw. Just pointing that out because I'm sure someone else would if I didn't lol...)

Oops, I never actually noticed that! Thanks for the information and the clarification on the chinese character. I'll definitely keep that in mind the next time I draw one...it didn't even occur to me haha

Having lived in both Japan and Korea I had that fact repeated to me so much I can no longer not notice that lol... but now you know, and knowing is half the battle...

Anyway for future reference:
Korean dragons: 3 toes per claw
Japanese dragons: 4 toes per claw
Chinese dragons: 5 toes per claw

There's some historical/cultural/mythological reason for why those kinds of dragons have that specific number, but I forgot what it was (or more accurately, I never really knew; I was just told there was one without being given the specifics).

P.S. Also Korean dragons are often, but not always, depicted as having antler-like horns.
