Whoa - crazy details in that - the neat colouring in just about the toe claw is pretty cool. Only thing I would say looks a bit odd is the implied indentation on the side of the first toe (though that could be a light source thing). Makes the toe look more concave than round on the side. Appreciate the tame version too - more enjoyable on a purely footpaw basis. :)
I've always liked the tame versions better - as a big time pawsexual, they tend to leave more of the paw visible with less distraction. Ahh... nice - I used human references for the little bit of my work as well (dragons and such were hard to come by). Must be a thing about the cell shading then, which of itself is a skill I could never master.
