They do, but if you don't plan on breeding, neutering/spaying reduces the smell somewhat. While it is a distinct odor, you get used to it after a while. I've been around foxes a lot during the summer too, where I volunteered at a sanctuary and it was an awesome experience. Yes, foxes can get moody at times (so do other animals) but if bottle-fed/hand raised and used to being around people, then yeah, they can be very sweet and super loving puffballs
