Oh, I love breath of fire~

Ryu and Nina... In every single game... :D Of course, I've only played 3, 4 and 5.

5 wasn't really a BOF game. It used the character names and the fact that there were dragons, but it was pretty much a complete divergence from the stories of the other games, which made me sad. :( And then BoF6 is gonna be an IPad/browser mmo. Even worse. ;.;

Fair enough, but from what I could tell, 1, 2, 3 and 4 were all alternate universes of each other, so it's not like the stories are continuations anyway. 3 was my favourite of them all. :)

1, 2, and 3 were in the same universe, separated by several centuries. 2 has several direct references to 1, including a sort-of-recorded message from Nina from 1 for Nina from 2. BoF3 is several centuries after that, but has a mural of the original team that defeated Myria - the cast of 1. 4's the only one that may or may not be canon, though if it is within the timeline, it could either be very far after 3, where humans have conquered the Desert of Death and started to bring life back to the world, or it could be a prequel to 1, since Deis doesn't have a body yet.
