I'm creating and developing a new RPG to pitch and hopefully sell to whatever video game company will have it. This is a series containing artwork of different characters from the story, all of which have been done by a very good friend of mine, whose work I respect very much.
Name: Xamaba
Age: Over 3,000
Designation: God
Even with all of his power that he could use to create, the god Olorun knew that there was a limit. He could create life, but he was bound by the rule of minimalism when it came to protecting said life. Knowing this, he opted to create a servant with power equal to his, but with the ability to protect the people more directly. The servant whom he created was named Xamaba, and he willingly served and protected the people of Aterea without fail for many, many centuries, watching them grow and develop and preventing them from self-destructing.
However, after centuries of protecting the people, Xamaba, for reasons unknown, began to suspect that they were beginning to use him and take advantage of him, taking his protection and guidance for granted. While these suspicions were never proven, Olorun’s servant began to grow gradually more and more unhinged. It was several more centuries until he ultimately came to realize one fateful thing — that Aterea and its people would have to pay for how they had used and treated him. He chose to destroy the very people whom he had been created to protect. However, such destruction could only be possible if he could be the god of the world, meaning that he would have to overthrow Olorun first.
Xamaba made his bid to become the new ruler of the world and was quick to turn on his master. But Olorun fought back and resisted Xamaba’s conquest, and a days-long battle between the god and his turncoat servant ensued. With each party possessing equal power, it seemed for a long time that the battle would be eternally stalemated. However, Olorun ultimately managed to overcome even the equality in his servant’s power and finally defeated his creation. To ensure that Xamaba would never pose a threat to the people of the world ever again, he quickly divided his creation, along with his power, into six equal parts. He placed those parts into six crystals that he also created and hid those crystals all throughout the world.
Xamaba's betrayal is what encouraged Olorun to leave the protection of Aterea and its people in the hands of representatives of the people themselves. So began the centuries-long cycle of the Keepers.
