A companion piece to my Shinx picture. Chimchar was my starter in Pokemon Platinum. Can't help it... I have an affinity for the fire type it seems (with the exception of second gen where my starter's almost always a Totodile). XD

I especially love the fact that he's both fire and fighting type - that way the first gym was like a real cake-walk without me having to backtrack to a first patch of grass available in a desperate search of a grass, bug or water-type pokemon. :P

Also, the pattern in the background was done by me.
