Well...I finally just beat Crisis Core over the weekend. Aaaaand I cried. A lot.

I drew him happy cuz...I can't draw him sad. :(

I already knew how it would end because I did play FFVII and found the 'secret' cutscene that shows you what happens but...I didn't except so much from a spin-off game. I figured there'd be some cool bosses and some badass cutscenes sure, but I didn't expect so much depth from the story. The character development, everything down to the small dialogue. The combat and a lot of the bosses were crazy fun and never dull; It was all so engaging. You watch Zack, a cocky, punk kid become a man longing for freedom and justice. You watch all of the characters slowly but surely learn lessons from one another that make significant changes to them as people. The whole time Zack aspires to become a hero, and in the end after everything he does, everyone he helps, ugh...

A game that is rich in story is an amazing game. I haven't had a game hit me this hard in the feels since FFVII itself. You know it's good when it leaves a lasting impression on you.
