Robin Hood finds himself trapped after an attempt to rescue his beloved Marian from an "arranged" marriage goes horribly wrong. Jailed in Prince John's dungeon, the fox has to worry about more than being executed in the near future as certain members of the king's court place an eye on using him. Why kill a person, after all, when they can be so useful to you after a few changes?

So this is a story I wrote as a sequel to another story I got for my birthday, Wobbuvahi's Marian. This story follows similar themes, but with... well, I'm not sure if they're more radical or not, they just take the concept in a different direction from the one that Wobbu wrote about. Same reason for the change, however! I'm shameful like that.

I recall there's actually another story on FA about Robin Hood being imprisoned and gaining weight, so I was interested to see how this idea was executed, given the similar premise. It certainly played out quite differently. I think the most enjoyable part of this was his developing relationship with the Sheriff; I thought it was clever that Hiss could break down the barrier that would ordinarily have kept the two characters from ever liking each other. At first I wasn't sure if Hiss and the Sheriff were conspiring together, but later on you made it clear that he wasn't, so it was good to know the Sheriff's friendship was genuine. I think Marian's sudden rejection of Robin was the most unexpected; in retrospect it seems to me possible that Hiss had something to do with her change of heart. Did you have that in mind?
The final scene of a fat fox and wolf getting the loot and chasing the Merry Men was a lot of fun. I wonder what Little John's reaction would be to seeing Robin dressed up in uniform and barely fitting it! He might not have even recognised him. Excellent work, I really liked this.

I'm really glad that you enjoyed this and appreciated all the little touches I put into this to make it special. Thanks for responding! <3
And yeah, I think in the chaos following that last scene Little John wouldn't have realized it was Robin until he was on the ground, paws bound together, and looking up into the oddly familiar rotund fox's face.

I almost wish this was a bit longer just to expand on more of what happened afterwards . The pacing was very good throughout the whole thing. Probably one of my favorite Weight Gain stories on FA (Even though it wasn't the main focal point). Because it wasn't the typical Someone makes another fat because they find it attractive, and the gainee eventually accepts it. The gain itself felt real, and not intended, just as something that sort of happens.
Really enjoyable all in all

Hearing this was your favorite was really great! Been a fan of your sprite-work for a while. Even if I'm not into scat. :P
Realistic, slow gains are always fun to pull off, though they take a bit to show. I'm glad I put that extra work into it! Thanks for the comment, glad it was a fun read for you. <3

It is Hiss' fault, actually! That was in the first story, which this is a sequel to.
I never exactly said that the Merry Men abandoned him, just that he was being made to believe that. Whether or not that was the case is up to the reader. It's possible that they just weren't able to get to the dungeon to help him!
I'm sorry that you didn't like that Robin Hood changed, but that was the point of the story! Sorry that this wasn't to your tastes, thank you for commenting all the same!

I like the idea of a fat Robin Hood.
How the story goes next is up to the imagination. I feel Little John might explain why The Merry Men didn't come to his rescue, and Robin Hood will eventually be reminded of why he started stealing from the rich to the poor in the first place.
