SO, I've been on deployment for some 9 months now on the USS Nimitz. I have not been neglecting my writing. Actually, I decided to build upon my writing skill by writing a pokemon story and managed to knock out a few chapters. I'm not home yet, but I figured it would be nice to post one of them on here before I made it home

Um, so most pokemon fanfic is trash, as most of you probably know. In fact, most fanfic in general is complete trash. I wanted to write something legit. Something worth actually reading. I wanted to write a character in a pokemon story that was actually competant. None of that "I have a lvl 100 shiny kabutops, and I just started! Now I'm gonna sex my pikachu and kill Ash because he beat Gary!" ... That's an exaggeration, but you get what I'm saying.
I did my research. I watched the episodes of the original series up to season 4(I haven't seen the new stuff yet), read through strategy guides up through black/white2, got the Pokemon Adventures Comics with Red and Blue and Green and Yellow, etc... I wanted to make it RIGHT, you know? Something to be proud of instead of just pouring garbage pokemon trivia down peoples throats saying "I'm better than you at pokemons!"
