Here's another edition of my proposed comic "Front & Back", with my alternate cat 'fursona' wearing yet another T-shirt with an interesting message on both sides of it...
Even though I'm about a month late for Election Day, I'm actually ahead of time for the Presidential elections to be held less than two years from now. In fact, it isn't even 2014 yet, and already several potential candidates are ready to throw their respective hats into the ring for the 2016 election.
This eclectic group with prexy potential includes current New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, former US Secretary of State, New York Senator and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush. (WHAT?! Another 'Bush' in the White House?! Why don't we say we just did, and have our next 'Recession' now, just to save time!)
With that in mind, I'd thought of an ideal candidate to run in 2016: 'Pedro Sánchez' - the fictional Latino character (portrayed by Efren Ramirez) - who ran for Class President at an Idaho high school, with the help of his amigo 'Napoleon Dynamite' (Jon Heder).
When I went to a 'sneak preview' screening of the cult film (at a Palm Beach County cinema) nearly ten years ago, I'd felt that "Napoleon Dynamite" ought to make a terrific 'Midnite Show' at repertory film houses (like The Mini-Cinema in Uniondale, New York - which I used to frequent, to see other 'Midnite Shows' (such as "The Rocky Horror Picture Show", John Waters' "Pink Flamingos", and David Lynch's "Eraserhead").
To this day, I still own (and wear) my official "Vote For Pedro" T-shirt (which I'd won - answering a trivia question - at said 2004 'sneak preview').
So, I'd decided to update the T-shirt, in promotion of the impending 2016 Presidential election. And BTW, the message on the back of said T-shirt is not meant to be an insult towards Latinos... It's meant to be an insult aimed at the aforementioned potential candidates!

Spoil sport! Looks like 'Pedro' falls under the same category as 'Superman' (who, in a classic 'imaginary story' from the 1960s, is elected President; of course, the 'Man of Steel' explains to 'Jimmy Olsen' why he could never be elected to a high office in the USA... You all probably know what it is by now...)
