If I'm remembering correctly: back when Mortal Kombat I or II was being made, Kathy Long came close to getting her very own character. For whatever reason -- probably over royalties, or maybe because she / her agent just didn't want her Finished on however regular a basis -- that didn't happen. If the deal hadn't fallen through, and if the finished product was close to the concept art, Kathy's outfit and default color would have been the same as Aura-uni is wearing.
