*snickers* I don't feel so bad for thinking that she was climbing a wall when I first saw it, then, if you keep thinking that, too. Though I still keep wanting to see her climbing out of a pit or something, based on the way her one leg is. :P

The picture turned out good, though. Even if I suspect that half of it was an attempt to try and coax someone into showing up more often. :P

I like this picture too, even if I thought, at first, she was trying to climb a wall, but then I noticed the gun. I really like the expression on her face, such as it is, and the way the tentacles are grasping at any possible thing they can hold onto, like what macavity said

I like the one clasping her belt, it's little details such as those that really lift an artpiece

Yeah, I realized I really needed more than just one tentacle grabbing her, so I pulled her belt off to the side and stuck one in there, and then put the other around her elbow, just to make it harder for her. =P

I too thought she was climbing up a wall until I saw the gun. This makes for a neat camera angle of the attack. Man, I love your artwork Tarmas. All the tiny little things like the claw marks in the dirt just make this pop. Lovely work.

Thanks. I put those marks ( as well as the dirt she's digging up with her boot as she gets pulled backwards) both to display the fact that she is struggling, and in the hopes that it'd look less like a wall. I was gonna draw some rocks and grass and stuff in, but after trying a few times, I realized I have no idea how to sketch grass from directly above and have it be recognizable as grass. =P I thought about putting flowers in, but that just seemed weird considering the subject matter.

The flowers could have tentacles too! *chuckles*

Now that would just be overkill. =P

Some sort of jungle foliage might not be amiss. And yes, until I spotted the gun I was struck by much the same thoughts as everyone else. ^.^

Also... why does the gun always have to be just out of reach...? ^.^ I mean... it -always- is... as bad as the assortment of sharp bladed objects just out of reach when you are roped to a golden idol on the bottom of the sea... err... nevermind, got side-tracked there. ^.~

Also not unlike the assortment of useful anti-snake objects when you're stuck in the belly of an oversized serpent... ^.^

Deus ex Machina. This sturdy vine native to Puerto Pollo is famous for it's remarkable tendancy to grow just out of reach.
