I used to sew the mouth liner to the fur (I use spandex, not fleece) but I recently stopped because it was kind of hard to reach some spots to glue it. Now I glue the mouth liner to the foam head then carefully glue the edge of the fur to the mouth liner.
I sew every seam except the ears are separate. Just easier to work with that way. I leave the center back head seam open as shown above, and the side seam for each ear.
