meeting a strange bloke at work she couldn't help but let her interest turn into a friendship. it was nice talking to cas even forcing some emotion. one winter day the snow began to fall on rowans lunch break. cas sat with her.

cas -winter is cold and bleak isnt it

rowan - yeah, and cold but Christmas is soon.

cas looked at the mention of a religious holiday straight face but yet questioning. rowan waving her hand joking

rowan- im not religious or anything, but i like the holiday cause its a time to spend time with family and loved ones ... give those things you really want and get some to you hope.

cas - i understand, pardon if i get this wrong but id like to give you something.

he turned, one softly placed a hand cupping her face turning and pulling her to him and kissed her. the moment seemed to last longer then it did wide shocked eye half closed in bliss. something felt strange ... almost heavenly. after they parted rowan blinked. confused and happy, her face red not from the cold but the event that just passed.

rowan - what .. er, ... cas?

rowan turned away unable to stop smiling
