It's the Christmas season, so of course I've got to include a picture of the krampus, one of my personal favorite beasties. This is another entry into my child-eating monster project. I'll have complete comic at FC or maybe earlier, a fun little comic called YOUR GUIDE TO CHILD-EATING MONSTERS. Why, I just sent the finished thing off to Ka-Blam today, so hopefully I'll have it soon.

Do you know about the spookily similar Krampus-like entities from other parts of the world? The Hopi nation have the sosoyok't, beaked ogres which travel in a band, going from house to house and demanding children to eat. Meanwhile, northern Japan have the namahage, who aren't strictly limited to kids per se, but punish lazy people, i.e. folks who'd stick their feet up by the fire long enough to get blisters, hence their name: "blister peeler".
I'm trying it on my kids. Hell, I grew up in a craft brewery, I turned out fine! Except for the gender confusion and the spectrum disorders and suicidal depression and physical ugliness and the severe social anxiety and all that... Eh.
What I DO blame most of it on, though is... Well, I'm a Pisces. My mother, before she knew she was four days pregnant with me, won a Fourth of July drinking contest with eight straight shots. She still kicks herself for it for how I turned out. XD
(Plus, tonight at an Open Mic, I'm playing songs off the album I was conceived to. Wish me luck.)
