It's because FA has a lag between when I upload it and when it appears, that now stretches out to fifteen minutes. So the server timestamps it as being 15 minutes old, but it's only just now appeared.

I'm not really sure what you're trying to say, but there's no good reason for a 15 minute delay given the hardware that FA has behind it.

But, it's no secret that the software running this site is somewhere between horrible and terribad.

It's either you wait those fifteen minutes for an artist as popular as Fisk, or Fisk has to wait 15 minutes or more before he can do anything else on FA after he posts. Despite appearances, servers are not that fast and take time to perform their tasks, especially notifying 10,000's that a picture was posted while trying to service all of the other thousands of requests per second. By handing the notice to a background task that can be temporarily suspended when the system gets overloaded, it makes FA "faster" for every user.

A 15 minute delay to notify ~36K users of new artwork really isn't acceptable. Computers are fast; way faster than that. I'm not just guessing when I say that, either. I've done work for sites that get a *lot* more database intensive traffic than FA, and they handle database inserts like this just fine (running on hardware comparable to FAs). A sane max here would be maybe a minute; 15 just indicates FA's codebase isn't that great.

I think this is absolutely perfect. It's nice to every so often see something that's relatively 'normal' in socialization depictions with artwork. Don't get me wrong, porn is fun but it's nice when there's a break from it here and there- am I right or am I right?

Fisk, I goa s... I really love the way you desi your charactes, but... the red pandas are the ones that really get to me. Seriously... there's something in their design that just... resonates with me, and I love it. x3 All your work is, in my humble opinion, quite fantastic, but... the pandas take the cake in my book. <3

Wow... this is really fantastic! Your attention to detail is incredible. The San Jose jersey on Shane, the Thrust logo on the kid's t-shirt, the scars on Fang's right cheek... this is really wonderfully done! And the concept of the piece is hilarious-- very fitting for Shane's personality. XD

Thank you for paying so much attention to all the details. The Thrust jersey was designed by  d.chestnut and Shane's look was made by  o-kemono. It means a lot to me that you put so much effort into keeping true to their work!

Its normal for a young sports fan to be star struck, I mean if that was Lebron or Jordan I'd probably be the same way. But Shane and Lynne are the most interesting. Shane is totally into her but Lynn's expression says "I am so bored right now but this guy is kinda cute" XD
