This is the latest character sheet for my comic character “Reptile Cynrik”!
Though it's not 2014 yet, I am going to use this design for the next year or so. As you can see, it's not "very new" (I've used his torso from the last "Poser 2013" artwork) but there are a lot of new details, after all!
And you can see that I'm pretty comfortable with the more detailed digital style I'm using lately.

Just a little funny "game" where you can put clothes and armor on Reptile's body. I'm sure many people would ask for it... and it's fun, anyway! XD

Astounding detail as always! I can't believe you can pull off something like that in 10 hours - you've got quite the talent. He just keeps looking more and more incredible with every passing year. :) I love how muscular he is, and just that in being reptilian, that it's not masked by any body fat. As per usual, my favourite are those amazing footpaws of his. Have the sole-pads remained unchanged from before?

He's got a pad under each joint of the toes and right behind the toes. BUT he hasn't got a pad on the heel anymore. I didn't like that!

Ahhhh, gotcha. Given that Reppy's an absolute digitigrade, eliminating the heel pad makes total sense. :) And wow, I appreciation keeping the paws in mind in the update! His toes a look a bit more defined now than before, which is very nice. Does make me curious; he's probably not at all into paws, but what would he think if someone else found his attractive?
Oh, and... you weren't correct when you said he would NOT be into paws......

... he can even caress the paws of his friends, sure!
And to make you drool even more: he would definitely caress his friends' paws, if they ask for it.
You know... touching and massaging the tows with his strong hands... caress the soles and paws with his finger claws and firm grip... moving his lips playfully over the instep (upside) of the foot... and... sliding his tongue between the toes of his friend... licking over and along the heel, the ankle and pressing his mouth against the foot... nuzzling it!

Oh now that's just evil... Reppy doesn't personally have a kink for it, but if he were doing that, I could just see him grinning from the side of his maw and glancing over at me or any other pawlover in the room who was about to explode at that awesome scene!
I didn't mean to sound like he would "not" like it, I was just meant that I didn't think he was into them, but wasn't sure. It's nice though, personality-wise, that he'd be willing to pamper and entertain a friend that was. Or perhaps just tease someone else with the whimper-inducing show of doing something they wished they could do themselves (or to him), heh.

1. So first off, I love the 'Cloth' version I think it looks awesome :D
2. So I see no anatomy problems so nicely done! However, I look at his belt (not the fundoshi) seem to be just ever so slightly too far to the left (lefthand side). The best way to fix this would be to slide the belt buckle over or widen it so it fits. It is acceptable though and is technically okay but thats just from my perspective. Overall, the armor and clothing looks amazing and original.

Na das nenne ich endlich mal ne gute rüstung ^^ nicht zu behindernd da sie immernoch nicht alles überdeckt und doch schon effektiver als nur leder... gute wahl ^^ Reptile kann immernoch schnell und agil an die sache ran und hat dennoch die wichtigsten bereiche (Herz, Organe) gut geschützt. Muss er nur seinen Kopf aus der bahn bringen da er keinen helm trägt (was auch besser is ^^)

Hmm ne Stangenwaffe ^^ Distanzwaffe wäre ja eher nen Bogen oder Armbrust oder jedwede form von angriffsmagie ^^ (Ja ausser der die nur auf nahkampf ausgelegt ist ich weiss ^^)
Lederhemd... ich fand das war eher schmückendes beiwerk von rüstung konnt man da wirklich nicht reden ^^ der harnisch aber den er jetz hat der ist gut, stabil, zäh UND sieht gut aus ^^

Dude, it's one of the first things that brought me over to your dA page a few years back: that mutual interest in high-fantasy and adventure. Primary difference: you can actually manifest your ideas vibrantly through visual art, while I just mostly do that through writing and tabletop gaming. Actually having Reptile written up as a real player character for a session of Dungeons & Dragons would be cool, even if nobody would have time to play. XD

Lovely and completely agreed. You can always make private or friends-only pictures, if you feel like it, or at the worst stake, create a different character (Blasphemy!) for such endeavours. But yeah, I would SO hate that people knew some of my characters (and specially, my main!) as a "online porn star".
too much muscle can be gross the athletic types and similar tend to be the best

Looks great! But I did notice that his face looks kind of flat, like his nose/snout is a bit short. But it is probably just perspective that is messing with me, since he is facing downwards a bit as well.
Other than that I think it looks good, a great looking body and a nice armor design. The only thing missing is a rear profile.

His snout IS a bit shorter than in the past! :) And yes, it's almost frontal view... kinda tricky.

Wow Patrick, this new design for Reptile´s upper armor looks badass on him it can also intimidate anyone. I can see how modern he´s getting ^ ^ Since I saw him all tribal style and little
by little he´s changing, I like that concept in a character : )
I must say also that the little rounded figure in the upper armor gave me two differents impressions: A pacman with a little fang or a new way to interpretate the yin and yang XD
And for last, I see you like that scale pattern in the digital ^ ^ finally you took some time to add scales effect in digital, still the traditionals are still numer one XD

Yes, "modern" is the proper word. IN fact, the Aktesians DO evolve and invent new weapons and armor as we speak!

I can't stop looking at this! It's so beautiful and your shading is so soft and still so specific! Also, those muscles seriously have me staring! He is just so freaking hot! The right amount of muscle without being too much to look bad <3! Also, the new armor and the ribbon on Reptile's weapon are so full of details :)!

Indeed, don't you know that you're my hero? Quite the bold, developing lizardman - who's had such a STRONG presence here for so many years.
You've illustrated some of the best scalies FA has had to showcase as well this past year.
If I were on a committee to award artists for progressive depiction of both their own characters and the depiction of muscular scalies, I'd have you #1 on my list.
But I think what matters is you've had fun, your watchers have enjoyed your art, and your fanbase has expanded quite well.
All in all, a successful, productive, and progressive 2013 for you.

The chest looks not like hardned plates any longer and a bit more straining from the increase of muscles, dunno if the chest was originally thought to be more like plates to begin with but good non the less I guess. ^_^
As for the wrists, I am no anatomy expert but it looks like a whole lot of muscle on the arms before it goes very slim right before the hands, but as I said, I am no grand studier of anatomy but it was perhaps the only things I could find my eyes looking at when trying to find some differences or such compared to the otherwise a little less muscular previous versions on those perticular areas.

Yes, the horn plates were never designed to be really hard. They are flexible. ^_^
And well trained now!
The wrists appear so thin, because the arms are so huge. Since you can't train the muscles of your wrist, it remains small and thin.
