Commissioned high fantasy piece created by
damiem . (Check his page out, he's totally *MAX PRO* and super considerate and amazing.)
The Emerald Expanse is a massive and mysterious forest, with legends saying it contains long lost ruins of a past civilization, hidden knowledge, and unimaginable gold riches. But on the other side of the coin, this wild region is far from civilization's light, and many dangers lurk here.
Our intrepid adventurers (
Varanis Blackclaw, Nyst Baiwen, and the so-far-aptly-named Bob the Wizard) find themselves waylaid by merciless assassins. Thankfully, our friends have brought a little magic with them, but will they be able to outlast these attacks?
We need to give Bob the Wizard a better name (if any :) ). What name would you like to give Bob the Wizard? Leave a comment!

I saw this as a sketch already then and it looked so great! There are several details I didn't anticpate seeing the way like I do in the finished version like the positioning of the wizard ^^ So well-done and well-detailed all the way. Damiem made really good work on this! :) I do hope as well you would get a printed copy of this so that you can have it on your wall, would make a great poster (put it in frames maybe even!)
Yeah I noticed, pretty much among everyone else did too XD But nice that it got back finally ^^ And good luck then if you ever decide to print out any art... Oh keep in mind though, one art I got form a friend was printed by one company, but the print's colors were somewhat darker, remember to ask about such thing too before you get anything printed out so that you dont get any unwanted surprises like that ^^
Bob the Wizard!
Can he blast them!?
Bob the Wizard!
Yes! He! CAN!
All jokes aside tho this may well be one of my FAVE comish out there! The background, shading and design of the characters is simply gorgerous! And Bob himself! You SO rarely see humans drawn this well on FA and I love seeing them mixed up in these fantasy scenarios.
Truly a masterpiece!

This is a very awesome peice, a lot going on and very detailed, very nice. also loving the way the artist drew Nyst and Varanis.
As for the Wizard, how about Bartimeaux the Flameweaver? You'd pronounce the first name Bart-ei-me-oh, by the way :P
Now I'm off to check damiem's page ~

No problem, and I'm glad you like the name and title! Generally I'm not very good with names, it can take me hours sometimes to name my characters in some of the games I play XD
damiem's got some pretty epic stuff in his gallery, one day I'll have to get something from him too!

Very much like. Both you and especially Varanis are stellar characters in this image, making it quite a compelling fantasy picture. Your imposing figure and very human expression definitely sell the reality of the scene quite well. I am quite green with envy not being one of the troupe included in this adventure!
Ohhhh wowww! Such a gorgeous commission! I always love a good landscape, especially when it fits what is taking place within it- and one couldn't ask for a better scene; swords and sorcery, with a little banditry on the side. The action was captured as if the viewer had taken cover from the crossfire- and that really adds a lot to this artwork in my opinion.
Thank you! Gawain is a nice name. I had managed to come up with a name by the time of http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13297897/ , but suggestions are always good!
