Unlike his brother, Bram has a sadistic personality that he makes sure to show to his brother. Being a sadist, he loves to build himself up at the expense of others. It makes him feel powerful to wield almost tyrannical influence over those he perceives as weaker or inferior. He derives pleasure from watching others cower, grovel, or struggle in one-down positions. That person sometimes being his older brother.

Aside from that, Bram is a pretty calm and collected guy when he's in school and around others; he's almost the opposite of his older brother in some fields. He's not a very patient person and likes things to be done fast, and he also likes to blabber about things at times. So it's best to not trust him with any secrets, the only secrets he can probably keep are the ones Giles makes him keep, at the expense of being hit upside the head or scolded.
And even if he doesn't show it so much as his brother, Bram is pretty jealous of his brother, that jealous personality can become hostile if it seems out of hand in his eyes; he dislikes when people are too close to his brother which to him is too close for comfort. But he manages to keep his cool around people, sometimes that is.

Even if they are the same age, they are in different grades, being as Bram spent his Junior year procrastinating and being lazy, so he has to repeat the same grade all over again.
