Whew, I've been working on this for the last month or so, for Eraili (DA) contest, of her gorgeous characters Shen and Pica, who are a couple.
The contest was seasonally themed, and I didn't really feel like doing the usual winter=snow (especially as there is never snow here, even during winter XD). Its summer here in South Africa though, and one of the trademarks of our summers are MASSIVE thunderstorms. I actually had to stop working on this quite a few times because of the storms. It doesn't always even rain, there's just a lot of lightening everywhere. And hail, hail the size of eggs come down the other day.
So, here are your character, experiencing a typical Joburg summer :D They were originally going to be in a cave or overhang, but I just couldn't get it to work compositionally, and I really wanted to add rain :P I also worked on this when I was away from home a bit, but forgot my tablet pen, so some of it like the tails and much of the sky, are done with a mouse.
