Height Comparison Chart for Upcoming Project
Lucia is going to Soaktown!
Yes, Lucia is joining the unlucky few who get caught up in
nexus's spiders web of villainy that is the gang-controlled districts. Sadly, because I am a starving artist, Nexus has allowed me to produce the comic myself. The synopsis has been approved, so it is going into storyboarding now. Stay tuned!
The purpose of the chart is threefold: 1.) To get an idea of each characters height in comparison with each other, which would help with storyboarding, 2.) To practice drawing the various players in the story, and 3.) to try out a new comic font. I think it is a success on all three fronts.
Datur, Jun, and Lino belong to
nexus
The rest are my own creation.

It's gone through a lot of changes, but I'm mostly referring to the art from the first few editions. Like your picture, the illustrations for the first few editions were completely black and white, had strong black outlines around the figures, had a degree of cartoonish simplicity, and had rather bizarre-looking characters.
Actually, I learned that the entire first edition is now available for free. Feel free to thumb through if you have a minute or two.

Well, now I can finally reply. I use heavy outlines because I found that it helps makes characters seem distinct from each other and makes over lonewolf more subtle. As for weirdness, it might be because I'm showing people from different walls of life side-by-side. Lucia and Levi are from a quiet neighborhood, the next four are gang-members, and the last three are a wealthy businessman and his bodyguard. Moreover, not all designs are mine, with the credits due in the image description.
Like I'm going to tell you how that happened...AND give away key plot points!
This is one rat that DOESNT...sing...
Simply put, stay tuned for more on that one, suffice to say EVERYONE is trying to figure out why we went from trying to kill each other to screwing each other.
And they want to see more of us screwing each other....
