I'car has a rather unfortunate back story as all good villains do. As a boy he and his identical twin brother O'lar (both next in line for the ethereal throne of the royal githyanki flotilla) where made to practice their magical talents when their magics manifested at the age of 6. Alone and afraid I'car and O'lar wandered together through the twisted forests of the ethereal planes.

O'lar's talent was to manifest first though sadly it seemed O'lar had a particular talent for destruction magic and thus destroyed himself with his own magic.

I'car cried out in anguish at the horrific evisceration of his moments older brother and slammed his hands against what remained of his brother chest commanding him to live. To I'car's amazement it worked...

His brother came back but not as he was. his wounds did not heal and he did not speak but he sat up and regarded his morbidly talented brother and awaited further command.

after three days a search part was sent to retrieve the young prines but they only ever found I'car, Mute, half starved shell-shocked and no longer capable of walking.

they took I'car back to the flotilla but he was never his cheerful self again and began to display violent tendencies.

I'car was locked in a tower with only monthly contact in order to judge the young princes mental state and eventually after an un documented length of time and many reanimated servants he was released deemed "civilized and obediant" and fit for the throne especially now that the throne was empty.

I'car Took the opportunity of his release to flee the ethereal plane to the material plane threatening that one day he would return and take the throne of his people with bloodshed,

anyone who is able to return Prince I'car to his family will receive a reward of a quarter of a million gold pieces.
