Well in the end it didn’t take a year to finish something else related to this series. It took nearly two years.
So I finished Mermaid Cove over a week ago, and since then I’ve had a lot of time to think about it. Despite all the Milotic I shoved into the other, much bigger story I wrote for today, I felt that I didn’t have quite enough for my fill, and I also knew that not everyone would be too keen on all the violence and dark content, so I decided to just make this as a bit of a consolation. I might have made this a little longer, added more scenes with other characters who were affected by the event as well, but in the end things didn’t work out so well this past week due to laziness and FA going down, so you’re just going to have to take this. As far as this pertains to Cecil’s story, this isn’t to be considered canon, since he still hasn’t even had his introduction to his maid duties and there isn’t exactly enough time in his week at the palace for something like this to happen. I do genuinely intend to continue HoOD and I have plans for what to do next, it’s just that I always get caught up with other stories now.
Pokemon as a whole is owned by Nintendo/GameFreak.
Characters are my own creation.
I might normally say “If you don’t know why Cecil has a male name and is referred to with male pronouns despite clearly being female, you may want to read the earlier installments of his story” but those chapters are old and terribly written and you should avoid them at all costs until I can get off my ass and rewrite them.
Alexandra turned into Fluttershy in the intervening time since the last chapter. Oddly she’s not the one with the huge tits.

Well, I think I can understand you. You try to focus in one thing and then you end doing other things that although important, they are not urgent. At least try to put some effort in the next chapters and in the rewriting of the last one, I think everyone here knows you can :D

I'm just hoping that with winter break coming up, I'll be able to motivate myself to write at least a little every day like I did over Thanksgiving, maybe then I'll get some more things accomplished.

I was actually thinking of something exactly like that, buuut that would have required a slightly longer story and potentially more narrative than just what I wanted to do with this little scene and I wasn't sure if I'd be able to commit myself to doing more. <3>;
The story isn't exactly canon though, it goes outside the development Cecil's had. The actual story hasn't really managed to get very far yet either, so it's not like he's had much time to change himself, he's due to become nicer in the future.
Also that's a rather lame punishment compared to the one Haber suggested already. :P
