It's a shame that Australia is never in the news here in the USA. For some reason, though, the country is very frequently referenced on gaming web sites.

Its amazing just how gigantic our continent is, still, that said, my frequent trips from the North Coast of NSW to Sydney are excrutiating unless i fly, and to think those lucky europeans can do a round trip of Germany, France and Britain all in one day!

If you drive north in a straight line from Melbourne for twelve hours you've probably still got at least half the continent to go - whereas doing the same from Wellington in New Zealand you wind up in the Pacific Ocean

And yeah, the Europeans don't know how lucky they are - they can *drive* to another country or even take a train - and do it all in a few hours. You can even drive from the Netherlands to France, take a wrong turn, and go through two other countries trying to get back on track...

no one wants to live here coz its filled with hicks and heat LOL

I love Australia - I love, love, love it, and in so many ways we ARE the lucky country. I do worry about that giant freaking hole in the ozone layer right above us though, and the running out water. T-T
