This is for all you overseas people who fail to realise exactly how big Australia is!!
This is all to scale, too! Have a laugh. I did =, and realise that a drive from Melbourne to Brisbane is f&#king long.
Hint: Melbourne is at the southern-most tip of the mainland eastern side, while Brisbane is toughly in the middle of the eastern coasat, right on the edge there. -- 2000km!!

If you drive north in a straight line from Melbourne for twelve hours you've probably still got at least half the continent to go - whereas doing the same from Wellington in New Zealand you wind up in the Pacific Ocean
And yeah, the Europeans don't know how lucky they are - they can *drive* to another country or even take a train - and do it all in a few hours. You can even drive from the Netherlands to France, take a wrong turn, and go through two other countries trying to get back on track...
