Being challenged to a race in one months time, the Hare didn't take Tortise seriously. He had among the swiftest feet in the wood, after all, and the tortise didn't come close. But, tortise was swift in the mind and could manipulate those to giver her an advantage.
Tortise concocted a plan to win; tricking rabbit into eating and lazing about instead of training like usual, sneakily disguising it as good sportsmenship. Rabbit, not being the brightest creature in the forest, accepted the feasts every night that Tortise prepared for him.
Of coarse, Hare became much plumper in that month, and on the day of the race, as he struggled with his newfound bulk, it dawned on him that he may not be able to win anymore...
