Today's installment in my Tip/Tutorial Tuesdays series is a fairly simple one, but one that is greatly useful. Please take a look at my Oogoo casting tutorial for the method and formula. This oogoo mixture cures to itself flawlessly, so any molds made from it can be patched by putting a little bit of new material into the hole/tear/gap and allowing it to cure. I have repaired three year old molds this way, as well as thickened some poor mold edges of molds made with Oomoo (from Smooth-On). I have been told it works with Rebound too, but have not personally verified this.
