Whereas while in the Air Force (Security Police) I was able to eat four times a day as much as I wanted. I stayed 190 until I married my current wife.
272 is not a fun weight.
And I agree with Gildedtongue, she will gain weight while carrying the Goths child. Genetics today...

A lot of the various colleges also have an "all you can eat" dining hall somewhere on campus which generally features stuff like all the pasta, mashed potatoes, and ice cream you can eat. and often has a soda fountain too. a pretty dangerous combo for a lot of people that were used to parents being in charge of what they ate. Even if they didn't actively manage their weight, the parents still made 90% of the food purchasing choices. You weren't going to have pizza EVERY night at home. at college... you often could have all you can eat pizza WITH ice cream for lunch and dinner.
I ended up eating at one like that specifically because they had the ice cream. I was extremely underweight due to a a metabolic problem that also caused chronic nausea. so was basically told "eat full calorie everything. have ice cream with every meal. Put in as many calories as you can get down in brief nausea free periods" So managed the freshman fifteen with a lot of work... and was still underweight.
and there were quite a few people that were eating virtually the same MAX CALORIE meal I was eating, just cause it was available. and the healthier options were often poorly prepared or damn near inedible. I had worked school food service before college and remember putting in the college dining haul "suggestion box" a list of all the health code violations I could see from the student side. I'm sure there were more in back. yeah, you need to CHECK that produce before you put it out. it's not supposed to be fuzzy... (I wish I was kidding)
