Hi there Skittle *waves* thank you so much for offering. Right now I have a couple of outfits for him. I had an Imperial Vulpine officers uniform that I wore to Furry Fiesta last year...

and I have a steampunk outfit for next year, that this drawing is modeled on

But I am certain that I will come up with something else, and when I do, I will be sure to drop you a note.

Haha ! Not very well, Anything complicated we have a member that can sew do that for us or hire a seamstress. A lot of those Mardi Gras costumes are either hot glued or pinned together. As elaborate as they are, they are usually only work for 3 to 5 minutes (during the costume presentation) so durability is not an issue; especially the costumes for chorus numbers where there may be 20 costumes all the same.. The costumes are often scrapped for salvage right after the ball. (especially the ostrich feathers and other useful components.)
If you want to see some of the costumes, you can check out our website and click on Gallery at the top.

Of course many of the costumes are beautifully finished and last for years. Each person doing a "major" costume is responsible for their own costume, so they come in varying degrees of quality (but all are gorgeous)
We have a special award that is presented occasionally for "catastrophic" costume failures. It is NOT an award that you want to receive !!! BTW...the audience LOVES it when it happens...they often think its part of the show as a comedy presentation.

Regretably, we don't even have smart phones...only cell phones (we are apparently living like cavemen...cavefoxes) *grunt....snort ....and other caveman sounds* so we don't have any of the social media thingies. Best way to contact me is here at FA. I try to get on here at least once a day. (warning !!!! sometimes I get horribly busy and may go days without answering. Please don't be upset if that happens). Like right now I am putting together one of the 4 royalty trains (14') for the ball. (queen and king for 2014... returning royalty) and the same for 2015 new royalty. Each train takes me about a week to get done, so right now I am placing the appliques onto them. Then hand sewing the snap links into the head of the train to attach it to the costume itself. (I hate that part...SO booring !)
That would be really cool. The only Con I go to is Texas Furry Fiesta. Its a lot of fun. You could probably get a direct flight to Dallas.
