Chibi, feral avians are adorable predators, especially when making a meal out of one of my characters.
In this one, a simple mallard is snacking on my rat, Argent. He must think he's just a piece of wiggling bread.
I love Kaiizree's chibi style, working so wonderfully for this series.

Great series, and must agree that birds are some of the best 'live vore' predators in the real world , even a duck. This one reminds me of a farmer friend who has a big drake mallard that follows him when he heads for the barn, and when he moves bales of hay, the mallard snatches and gulps the many mice hiding under them.
Indeed. If ducks were extinct today, scientists might dismiss them as "harmless plant eaters" as they do the huge sauropod dinosaurs which are also related archosaurs and do largely consume plant material. I suspect "duck billed" hadrosaurs and sauropods would be just as omnivorous as their avian cousins if they encountered prey animals small enough to swallow. The same thing with 'vegetarian' Iguanas, they relish small animals more than any vegetable food. The big Brachiosaurs in Jurassic Park would have loved to gulp down those little kids feeding them branches in the tree, much to the horror and surprise of the paleontologist assuring the kids the beasts were 'harmless veggiesauruses'.
