Sometimes the battle between cub instinct and adult intellect is a pain in the arse. I remember when Az first gave me my Plushie Patrol. I'd never been particularly interested in stuffed animals up to that point. Despite that my body wanted something to cuddle, my adult mind just didn't want anything to do with them. Seeing the full squad together though, looking so much like the people they represented, broke through that barrier and I found myself wanting to play with them and for the first time my mind was in agreement. There was a certain amount of... embarrassed reluctance and reserve at first, but in the end it was the right thing for me.
