He knew the boar didn't have a chance of passing the test, especially after his lessons, and he couldn't live knowing it was going to be his fault that Reese would be kicked off of the team.
So he took a deep breath and did it.
A couple of minutes later he would realize that this only made him the worst kind of person.

I suppose the real thing is which would make him feel worse.
Cheating to get the boar to pass the test or lying later on and just saying "Well obviously he wasn't paying much attention to my tutoring"
