No thumbnail for this one. Why? Because it's got nothing but original characters in it, THAT'S why! Gonna try and expand my horizons with making my own characters and whatnot. It's also going to be released in chapters, because this first little part ended up being longer than I thought! Each chapter will be released as they are completed, so please be patient for each new part. I'm looking at about 4-5 chapters.
A bunch of new stuff and experimentation with this new story. Hope you like it!
“48…49…50! Phew!”
Nick the calico had always taken pride in keeping himself fit. Four days out of the week, he would train and exercise until his tail ached. The results were quite impressive. His arms were thick and hard with muscle, and his chest was tight, though often threatened to bulge right through most of his workout shirts. His stomach was nice and flat, forming an attractive six-pack. His legs were hard and tight and could kick through wood and one could even bounce a quarter off his furry buns. Yes, this feline was quite the specimen of physical perfection.
This had not gone unnoticed.
As Nick took a nice long swig from his water bottle, another cat—his head concealed as he wiped his head with a towel, accidentally crashed into him as he walked.
“Mm!” Nick lurched backwards from the impact, the water bottle being knocked from his hand.
“Oh, so sorry!” the toweled cat exclaimed, an effeminate hint of mischief in his voice.
“Ugh, that’s okay,” Nick groaned. “Just water.” He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly as he stared at the newly formed puddle on the floor.
“Water?” The other cat, his head still covered, seemed oblivious to the spilled water until he followed Nick’s eyes. “Oh, was that me? I’m so very sorry!”
“Really, it’s fine. I’ll go get a towel.”
“No, no, no! I’ve got one right here and I am the one who caused this little mess. I’ll take care of it.”
The cat pulled the towel from his head and walked in front of the puddle; his face still went unseen by Nick. He bent down to wipe away the water, sticking his butt towards Nick with his white tail gently rising.
Nick cleared his throat and looked away, though his eyes were still drawn to the cat’s rear end. His spotted tail curled slightly and a hint of blush crept along his cheeks. He swiftly slipped out his cellphone to open the camera app.
“All done,” the other cat said, quickly springing back up. With a quick flash, Nick stashed his cellphone back in his back pocket. His sweating was a combination of exhaustion and nervousness.
“Again, and I hope I’m not bothering you by saying it a third time, but sorry about the mess.”
“Don’t worry about it, pal. Just an…accident…”
Nick’s words trailed as the other cat turned to look at him. He had the cutest little face on him with short whiskers and a small nose. His eyes were a magnificent shade of blue that seemed to glow. His body was lean and thin, and his fur was a perfect white.
Nick cleared his throat once more.
“Say,” the other cat began. “I’ve seen you around here quite a lot.”
“I’m…sure you have. I work out a little.”
“A little is quite the understatement. You’re…rather stacked, aren’t you?”
“I guess you could call it that.”
“Don’t be so modest! It makes you look…handsome, I suppose.”
“That sounded kinda weird for a compliment.”
The cat grinned a devilish, yet light-hearted grin. “Would you like to grab dinner some time?”
Nick was taken aback by the question.
“I’m free most Thursdays,” the cat said.
“H-how do you know if I’m even—”
“How’d that picture of my ass come out?”
Nick’s tail straightened immediately. His spotted cheeks became red with blush and his whiskers cringed as his face crumpled in embarrassment.
“These ears have certainly been ravaged by the music I listen to, but I assure you that they can hear a camera snap quite well.”
“I could’ve been taking a picture of—”
“Are. You free. On Thursday. Or not?”
Nick sighed and slouched his shoulders. “I should be.”
“Goodie! I’ll give you my number and we’ll talk time and place later.”
“Sure.” Nick pulled out his phone again and turned it on, the screen still set on the blurry picture he took of a rushing gym floor.
“So how does that picture look?” the cat asked.
“Not great. Man, you must think I’m a real creep.”
“Would I still have asked you out if I cared?”
“Good point.”
The cat gave Nick his number. In response, Nick sent a text to him.
“Perfect,” the cat exclaimed. “I’ll text you come Thursday and we’ll make plans from there.”
“Sure. My name’s Nick, by the way.”
“Wonderful to meet you. I’m Eli.”
“I’ll…see you around. Nick gave Eli a friendly pat on the shoulder as he walked away.
Eli looked back to see a rear view of Nick. He noticed his tight butt through his shorts and gave a flat sigh through closed lips.
Eli had sent Nick a text the next Thursday evening telling him to meet him at Pazza, the local Italian joint famous for their stuffed pizza sticks, which were quite literally thick hollowed-out breadsticks with cheese, tomato sauce, and pepperoni bits. Always wanting to remain fit, Nick had tried to negotiate on a healthier option. Eli, however, was quite adamant about Pazza, so Nick reluctantly agreed, committing to a salad as his entrée.
Nick entered the restaurant promptly 8pm and saw Eli in a black turtleneck. His smile was wide and his hands and tail were curled with excitement. Nick gave him a passive wave of his hand.
“You’re quite punctual, aren’t you?” Eli chimed while nervously fidgeting with his coat.
“Heh. You could call me that.”
Nick and Eli were seated immediately. Eli rested his head cutely in his palms as he stared at the calico sitting across from him in a daze.
“Is…there something on my face?” Nick asked as he sat down.
“Oh, no! I’d just be lying if I said I haven’t been imagining this scenario for quite some time.”
“I guess staring at me from across the gym couldn’t cut it anymore.”
“You’re very astute!”
The two of them shared a little giggle.
“So,” Eli began, taking a sip of the water that the waitress had just placed on their table, “What else does Mister Nick do when he’s not pumping iron at the gym?”
“Nothing much. I read, I guess. Play video games. Watch TV. My hobbies aren’t really that interesting.”
“I think they are,” Eli assured, waving his hand to dismiss Nick’s modesty. “Those sound like fun things to do. I’ve always wanted to play video games.”
“Hey, I could always show you a couple to get you started.”
“I would very much like that.”
“How about you?” Nick asked.
“I do a great many things in my day-to-day.”
“Well, what’ your favorite thing to do?”
“I’m glad you asked!” Eli began leaning in closer to Nick, his eyes have closed as if what he were about to say were a mysterious and breathtaking secret.
“I cook.”
“You cook?” Nick asked with a raised eyebrow, expecting something a little more.
“And very well at that.”
“So why are we paying for dinner tonight?”
“Because tasting my cooking is a special privilege; one that you, my dear Nicholas, must earn.”
“Well, you’ve certainly got my hopes up.”
Nick and Eli’s ice-breaking was suddenly interrupted by the waitress approaching their table.
“Good evening and welcome to Pazza,” the waitress said with a smile. “Can I start you two off with something to drink?”
“I’ll have a wa—”
Nick was interrupted by Eli’s order. “We’ll both have your Smoothie Explosions.”
“Excellent choice,” the waitress chimed.
“Uh, hold on—” Nick was cut off once again.
“And I think we’ve also decided on food as well.”
“Perfect! What are you having?”
With a small chuckle, Eli gave her their order. “We’ll have two orders of your Pizza Sticks.”
“Eli—”
“Both of them 4-piece, please.”
“Coming right up,” the waitress said as she lifted her pen from her pad. She had hardly even noticed Nick’s protests as she walked off to fill their orders.
“What was that all about?” Nick asked with a slight elevation in his voice.
“Trust me. What I just ordered for us, they’re to die for.”
“That’s not the problem. I don’t really eat or drink anything like that!”
“And why not?”
“Because it’s terrible for your body! Do you have any idea how bloated I’ll be afterwards?”
Eli wagged a finger and tsked at Nick. “The pleasures in life are to be enjoyed every once in a while, are they not?”
“But—”
“Think about it this way: I never put on any weight and you’ll just have that much more to work off when you next visit the gym. I’m sure that’s something you can handle, no?”
Nick gave Eli an uneasy look.
“I apologize for being so…forceful,” Eli sighed. “But believe me when I say that I wouldn’t have ordered for you if I didn’t think that you would enjoy my decision.”
The calico grudgingly tapped his foot before sighing in defeat.
“Fine. I’ll let you get away with it just this once.”
Eli only smiled as he went to change the subject and get to know Nick a little better as they waited for their food.
“Ha, ha, ha, ha! And…and then what…!?” Nick asked through his uncontrollable laughing.
“And then she tripped on her feather boa and landed her perfect nose straight into the dip!”
Eli and Nick were both sharing funny stories and were having a roaring good time in the 10 minutes they spent waiting for their food.
“You know some pretty interesting people, Eli.” Nick wiped away small tears of laughter from his eyes.
“Well, at least my friends don’t carve out a basketball and put it on Halloween displays.”
“Classic Pete,” the two of them said simultaneously, having already shared personal jokes about their lives.
“Hate to interrupt your laugh, boys,” the waitress said as she returned, her arms occupied by trays of food and drinks. “But we have your orders in coming!”
Eli clapped in anticipation. Nick looked with slight disdain at the plate of pizza sticks and the smoothie being laid out in front of him. He was having such a good time with Eli that he almost forgot the junk food he had ordered for him.
“Sorry about the wait on the smoothies,” the waitress said. “Those babies so long to prepare, I figured I should just bring ‘em out with your food.”
“An excellent business decision, madam,” Eli praised. “I’ll be sure to give you a generous tip!”
“Why thank you! Enjoy!”
The waitress left them to their eating, again missing any sign of Nick’s discomfort which was clearly painted on his face now, which Eli took notice of.
“You’re not going to back out now, are you?” Eli asked him playfully.
“I…guess not. I mean, it’s already here, right?”
“Exactly! Bon appetite!” Eli took no hesitation in digging into his food, while Nick continued to stare down at his plate as if what was resting on it was an adorable alien lifeform that he wasn’t sure would be safe to cuddle with.
Eli was already licking his fingers clean of the first stick. As he got started with the second one, he paused when he saw that Nick hadn’t started eating yet!
“I thought we agreed that you would eat,” Eli pouted with a hint of impatience in his voice.
“We did,” Nick assured. “I’m just…working up the appetite, that’s all!”
Eli rolled his eyes, now visibly with Nick’s behavior. “If you don’t want to eat, you can pass them over here.”
Having seen the displeasure on Eli’s face, Nick didn’t want to ruin the mood any more than he felt he already had. With a bit of reluctance, he took a pizza stick in his hand. “I promise, it’s fine! I’ll eat.”
The white cat nodded dismissively. He rested his cheek on his fist as he took another bite of his second stick. His tail was swishing curtly.
Nick sighed loudly. He took a quick sniff of the pizza stick; it actually didn’t smell that bad to him, though he was sure it would wreak havoc on his diet. He brought it near his mouth and opened his jaw slightly, still not comfortable with eating such a meal.
Eli cleared his throat. “Y’know, it’s getting a little late, so I think I’ll—”
Before Eli could finish, Nick took one swift bite out of his stick, his eyes shut tightly as if he were a child being forced to drink medicine. Eli raised an eyebrow in surprise, clearly having not expected Nick to actually go through with eating.
It had been quite a while since Nick had eaten anything like pizza, and the very first time he ever ate something like a pizza stick. The thick, non all-natural whole wheat bread, the gooey mozzarella cheese, the thick tomato sauce, and oily slabs of pepperoni were all very unfamiliar tastes to him. He let all of the tastes settle before he bothered to swallow. When he did so, he was left with a bit of a dumbfounded look on his face.
Eli nodded with wide eyes and a curled lower lip, slow clapping almost sarcastically. “I’m proud of you,” he said in a teasing manner. “So how do you like it?”
“It’s…” Nick stared at the remainder of the first stick. All of the ingredients looked a little brighter to him for some reason. “It’s…not that bad…!”
“Well,” Eli sighed, “At least it won’t be a total waste of money. Go on; eat up.”
“O-okay.” Nick took another bite with much less hesitance than before. He made an audible ‘mm’ sound. “Oh, it’s even better on the second bite!”
Swallowing quickly, Nick officially started going to work on his pizza stick. Eli paused while starting his third stick.
“Someone seems enthusiastic about eating now,” Eli noted, suddenly very attentive to how much Nick was enjoying his meal.
“Uh-huh,” Nick replied with a bit of a full mouth. He swallowed wholly before continuing. “It’s a really unique flavor for me, y’know?”
“I can tell.” A small grin crept along Eli’s face and his ears curled almost devilishly.
Before long, Nick had polished off his first stick, but even before he finished chewing and swallowing, he found himself reaching for the next stick. He even started eating it as he chewed on the remainder of the last stick.
Eli found himself enthralled by the sight of Nick eating. He was throwing caution to the wind and simply giving into his desire. His chewing became noisy, his bites became bigger, and his enjoyment of the food was becoming much more apparent. Suddenly, Eli’s ears pricked.
He could hear the churning and groaning in Nick’s belly. Clearly, it was struggling to digest all of the food, not being used to processing all of the junk Nick was putting into his body. Nevertheless, it started to do so, and when Eli started thinking about what that digestion would result in…he smiled.
Then he got an idea.
“Y’know,” Eli said with mischief in his voice, “You might wanna wash that down with your drink. Too much of one taste can get a little dull.”
“Mm, good idea!” Nick tried to keep his mouth as closed as possible when he spoke, but found that difficult with all the food he was putting into his mouth. He swallowed what he had in his jaws already and grabbed his drink. Without looking down, he clamped down on the straw started sucking in the drink immediately, taking in a couple of good gulps.
“Whoa!” Nick exclaimed, suddenly remembering that he wasn’t drinking water. “What’s this I’m drinking?”
“Oh, did you forget? That’s the Smoothie Explosion they serve here. It’s got all kinds of fruits and berries mixed in it.”
“Well, whatever it is, it’s delicious!”
“I’m very glad you enjoy.” Eli’s tail was curling with excitement.
Nick saluted him with the drink before going back to it. He quickly chugged the entire thing, taking all of the fruity and yogurt-y deliciousness. When he was done, he licked his lips vigorously. “Ah…that was refreshing!”
“You definitely finished that quickly!”
“Well…it was pretty damn good!”
“You’ve got a point there!”
“Now if you’ll excuse me…” Nick twiddled his fingers in anticipation before continuing with his meal. He grabbed the stick he was working on before and quickly chomped it down into nothing. He grabbed his third stick and got about halfway through it. Suddenly, he dropped it into his plate.
“Ugh…” Nick groaned, leaning back into his chair. “That’s it, I’m done. I’m full!”
“I’ll say…” Eli responded.
“Man…did my belt get tighter or something?”
Eli had been waiting for that question.
Nick was preoccupied with the exhaustion he felt from having eaten so much, so he didn’t notice Eli get up from his chair to see the results of his little binge.
His belt had gotten tighter, what with the food already having its way with his waistline. It had gotten just a bit wider from all of the food. Suddenly, Eli’s attention was to Nick’s belly. It was slightly poking out from the bottom of his shirt and had a bit of a curvature to it that almost conformed to his shirt.
“Man, my stomach feels tight!” Nick complained, taking one hand to it. His hand started moving up and down in a soothing rub. Without realizing, he brought up his shirt a little bit, revealing to Eli a better view of the fullness and rotundity his belly started taking on. It was practically dancing on the border of his pants as started spilling over his belt. With every rub, Nick inadvertently showed off the bouncy pudge he had taken on as he pressed into the taut hill of his belly. Eli couldn’t help but reach forward ever so slightly, the temptation of massaging that cute tummy of his almost overwhelming. His lower lip quivered in anticipation and his tail curled tightly.
Just then, Nick leaned forward again, prompting Eli to slam himself back into his seat.
“Okay,” Nick told Eli with a bit of a huff. “You were right. That was pretty delicious.”
“Told ya so! And a guy like you can work it off in no time, right?”
Nick’s ears pricked, suddenly remembering why he didn’t want to eat in the first place.
“Oh, crap! I guess I do need to do that tomorrow!”
Eli giggled. “Slipped your mind, did it?”
“N-no…I don’t think so.”
Nick didn’t notice the ever-increasing grin on Eli’s face. He silently nodded to himself before calling the waitress for a check.
“I had a wonderful time tonight,” Eli said to Nick when the two of them were outside. The cats scrunched themselves up in the cold winter air, but both felt unusually warm in the other’s presence.
“You know what? So did I. We should really do this again some time.”
“My thoughts exactly,” Eli said with a cheerful pep in his voice.
“But…maybe I’ll choose our venue next time,” Nick said politely.
“Oh? I thought you enjoyed your food tonight!”
“Well…I did! I…really did. It’s just…it’s so filling!”
“So?”
“So? I’m a body builder! The last thing I wanna do is end up as fat as a panda! I’m sure you’d hate that.”
“You’d be surprised,” Eli muttered, his mouth covered by the collar of his puffy jacket.
“Say something?” Nick asked.
“Nope! In any case, I’m sure that as long as we’re together, any place will be just fine.”
Nick had to chuckle at that. He was flattered at Eli’s enjoyment of his company and had to admit that he felt the same way.
“Well,” Nick began. “I’m this way.”
“And I’m that way,” Eli replied.
“I’ll see you at the gym tomorrow?”
“You know it!”
Nick gave Eli a friendly wave goodbye as he went on his way home. Eli stayed standing for a bit as he watched Nick walk away, remembering just how much he enjoyed eating, even if Nick himself didn’t realize it.
“Yep,” Eli said to himself, his tail swishing back and forth excitedly. “He’s a keeper, alright! Just needs a little work…”
