Yeah, there was one living under my back porch and one night while I was sitting on the steps playing flashlight tag with my cat (good times) it came up and was about a foot away from me before I noticed it. I thought it was a little hyena when I first saw it XD It was pretty dark out...
heehee! i had almost the same experience. cept i went outside with my dog and saw her lookin at my feet and i looked and there was a opossum really close just lookin at me. at first i thought "awww how cute! why are people scared of theee...." and then it hissed at me and i grabbed my dog and ran...:-D
