This is mycobrain. a motherbrain i saved. heres her story


After sector zero was ejected from the BOTTLE SHIP she was awoken. She was a failed experiment. When they were trying to make a mother brain that would respond with the metroid they made a replica of her that was smaller than the original. Deciding that they wanted something more peaceful looking they locked her in a blast proof room. The programs keeping her asleep and offline to keep her from awakening. The moment the sector was ejected these protocols were shut off and she awoke. Quickly hearing the panicked screams of metroids around her she quickly opened the doors to her room and let as many as she could in before sealing the doors tight as the rest of the sector exploded, hurling her room through space. Not knowing how long they would drift, she lowered the temperature of the room, putting the metroids into a sleep, cold enough that they would sleep but warm enough that they wouldnt die. On and on they drifted. drifting for a month. and MB was getting worried for the metroids, and that she herself was starting to deteriorate for the machines could only keep her going for so long. Suddenly they started to stop and she could feel their direction change and finnally a thud, her eye was only half open as she was growing weaker. She hears a knock and opens the door and sees a strange figure. Quickly he gathers the metroids and she would smile if she could as she saw him wrapping blankets around them. After they were taken care of he walks over to her.
"I have to remove you from the system. You will fall asleep and be unconsious. If you trust me, blink twice."
She does so and feels herself drift off as she is removed. She dreams of zebes, knowing these werent her own memories, but memories of the original mother brain. She wishes she could take her metroids to a home they would be safe, and not hunted by people for their uses. Light starts to peak in through her eye and she raises a hand to it.....wait a hand. She bolts upright and looks at the two mechanical hands she had. and at her new body. Standing up shakily she sees the jar she was in and then the figure of her savior. wiping grease from his hands the mushroom dragon smiles at her, and as the metroids start to circle around her happily making noises. She speaks, having a soft gentle, yet kinda metalic voice
"Thank you for saving us....and giving me"she motions to the body "all this. how can we repay you. "
He smiles and puts a hand on her shoulder
"I know their are those after you. and to repay me. stay with me, i can keep you safe from them, not just you, but the metroids as well."
She nods and hugs him close and then looks at her metroids and blinks holding a hand out to one, and in the reflection of its surface sees that her brain has turned green, and her iris red. She turns to him,
"What happened to them.....to me?"
He holds her hand and nods
"you and them were dieing, you had lost many braincells from the lowering air quality, and they were on the brink of starving as well as had some organ failure. These little guys were the runts of the litter, looked over the security tapes fround in that room, apparently they were the first ones grown again, and were left near you as such, with rejected projects. so.....i had to add my dna into yours. it caused discolartion so you match me, but it saved your lives."
She simply hugs him as tight as she can. vowing to never leave his side.

"I think ill call myself Myco brain from now on"
