Oh, that's worse. Americans love to take credit for stuff they've done. The Canadians? Thirty years later, the declassified documents get printed in a school textbook somewhere, and never makes the news. =P And the world is terrified of them because of it. X3

The Germans were always quite alarmed when the Canadians hit the Western Front in World War II. From what I've heard, they had reason to.

I'm not terribly up on my military history or anything, but that's what I hear, that our nation's forces distinguished themselves in general. Since I live here, though, I just assumed it was the same sort of self-congratulation one expects their country to engage in about past glories.

*shrugs* Who knows? I get my info from a Canadian friend of mine, whose own family has some proud military history. Though I mean that in the Canadian sense. =P I'm sure it pops up in conversation now and then, like when people here talk about buying a new blender or something. X3
