If badgers purred, I'd be purring right now. Stressful day at work (fortunately not quite enough to trigger a regression), so I get home and Bella can tell with just one look that I'm kind of on the brink. A slow simmer can be just as bad for me as a full boil.

"Sit down, gimme your shirt, you big lug." Valuing my own hide, I comply. "Turn around." "What are ye..." "Shhhhhh..." Bella's got strong paws. She slowly kneaded the tension out of my body as I relaxed in her grasp. "Mmmmmmmm.... that's good Hun." Best I'd felt all day, hell... it was the best I'd felt all month. "I suppose there ARE some benefits to being married to a physical therapist after all..." I mumbled as I felt myself drifting off.
