I hope Peter Jackson could do Silmarillion since he's already doing the Hobbit. would Sauron beauty in the book be an allegory to Lucifer before his fall from grace?

No, That would be Melkor. Sauron is but a servant of the Vala Melkor who is pretty much Satan/Lucifer in The Silmarillion.

Vala Melkor? a greater evil than Sauron to whom he served. I need to read Silmarilion. does this story take place in middle earths earlier history?

Yes, The Silmarillion is about the creation of Arda (the world) and the coming of the First and Second Children of Illuvatar (God). The stories within the book mostly tell of the wars between the Vala and Elves towards Melkor. They mostly follow the Noldor elves who created The Silmarils (They are magical jewels) and their quest to get them back. Then they also focus on the rise and fall of Numenor and the forging of the Rings of Power.

Dunno, the book contains several thousand years worth of history. It would not really do a good film. A TV-show maybe... where each episode is one of the many MANY stories, then maybe. But to be honest, I think The Silmarillion is unfilmable.

Ah, yes. Haven't read that book yet, but I did go through the Index for Lord of the Rings. It was mentioned that there was a time when he could appear fair to men and elves, but he lost it after Numenor sank into the sea. I guess he died and came back using some foul magic, but at the cost of never being able to hide his true nature again.

I really should pick up the other books. I enjoyed The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. I kinda would like to see what other stories Tolkien wrote before he died.
