awww I just noticed how some old ink blot cartoons are depicted during those days of great depression (?) , yet still they managed to stay happy for whatever they got .. nice work there !

Poetry? As I saw it, I could hear her singing with lighthearted music in the background. Leads up to a villainous landlord knocking on the door then barging in to sing the rent is late and eviction is imminent, after which Our Hero comes up with a way to save the day, probably involving using some of the local flora and/or fauna as musical instruments.

That actually sounds likes a good little tune.

Personally, I think it's pretty cute. And the poem fits the classic cartoony feel of the image.

Mighta worked better with an oldfashioned potbelly stove, but otherwise, classic-like!: )

I could _totally_ hear that poem as an old-time jazz/blues tune (maybe done by the Squirrel Nut Zippers). This pic would work perfectly as a cartoon.

There are certain early animation I like, it's the 80's and 90's animation but the 20's animation, I just hate it , the animation back then was really weird and it creeps me out.

But that's just how it is sometimes, ain't it!!
That's totally dead center great. You do the 20's style like magic :D With the "lines of wearing" across it too, and I love the rhymes.
I'm gonna keep this one for days when I feel really, really down and out. I know it's gonna cheer me up.
You know, like when you wake up feeling lousy in the morning, it's raining, the radio's playing sad blues, and your coffee's gone cold. It's all so miserable you can't help laughing.

I find that 'the blues' (toony-type ones) are a sure-fire cheerer upper in most cases. =)

Just for effect, as I've done on a lot of my inkblot stuff since. Sure wish I had time to make an animated Spiffie, though!
