Dear Fur Affinity,
In my recent travels to Egypt I have discovered a creature of remarkable and unusual power. I came across this creature while on the preliminary sightings for a new dig in under the massive sand stone pyramids of Gaza that grow like mountainous monuments to man from the hot sand that seems to pervade every nook and cranny of this arid country. Our guide, Karim, showed use to a small hole carved out of the stones at the base of the largest pyramid some distance from the previously discovered main entrance. He clamed that this was the real tome and that the other was just a cursed trap to fool any would be crave robbers.
I balked at this as I knew Lord Carnivoren well enough to know that he would never have been fooled by mere trinkets into risking his team to open the great tombs. My rebuttal was instantly cut short when our guild produced a rather healthy sized emerald that filled most of the palm of the camels thick nailed hand. It took me little time to gather a team together to follow this young local back to the tunnel in which he said that hed found the giant beryl jewel.
When we arrived at the base of the tomb we were very disappointed to find that the hole was barely large enough for our guild left alone anyone else. I, being a rather slight gentlemale as you well know, was elected to crawl down with the single lantern; the lonely flame flickering as I crawled deeper into the cramped tunnel. I wondered how my guide had ever fit down there at times as I found it rather difficult to get around the two on right angle bends in the constricting passage.
Finally I found my way into the tomb proper and discovered the motivation of Karims ability to navigate such a cramped passage. The alcove that I now stood in was filled with all manner of riches! I cannot begin to tell you of the gold and jewels that I saw littered across the room in large piles. More than our childrens children could ever hope to spend! One thing that did catch my eye, above all of the gold and jewels was what looked to be an ancient tome. As I lifted my lantern to gaze at the cover I heard a voice all around me! It was soothing though, and I was not afraid, though as I right this now I know I well should have been. It said its name was Thysra
Thanks for reading all of that :)
