Don't say it's cute.... we all know it's bloody cute.... do something like compliment the excellent use of colors to make a bright, cheery scene, or how well the proportions are drawn, or something!... But sometimes mere words cannot express how someone feels about a piece. I like to think that some viewers become so speechless after seeing cute artwork that all they can muster is "c-c-cute". So I am okay with obvious statements at times.
