Yes, I carved the back portion too, but it's just a circle really. I thought the picture looked better without it. After taking the new pictures for my Etsy account I'm going to have more fun with them from now on. I'll definitely include the back after painting it though since it'll be a bit more impressive then.

I've been working on a new style to make carving easier and faster. It worked really well, and this piece went a lot more smoothly than usual. I think it looks a lot better too. So yah, major benefits to this new style.

This piece has a 2 inch diameter and took 5 hours to carve.
