The Ananaki are a race with no concept of love, compassion, or mercy, but Dalhamun was different.

The Ananaki created the first humans in an attempt to understand the powers wielded by their enemies, the Deynashi, but the experiment was deemed a failure and the humans were scheduled to be destroyed.

Dalhamun had fallen in love with his creation, the part-human, part-Ananaki Desalven, and when Desalven interceded with Dalhamun on behalf of the humans, Dalhamun disobeyed his superiors and set the humans free.

When their actions were discovered, both Dalhamun and Desalven were captured and sentenced to be buried alive. Pictured here is their final parting embrace.
