Bobby and his dad spend Christmas dinner with the Drapers.
Santa Brought My Bobby Back To Me (as sung by Dipper)
Can you hear the carollers sing
Hear their voices call out loud
Remember what your friends are for
I’ll be there, just give me a ring
Stand up tall, stand up proud
Through tough times, forget the war
Memories are strong with the hope they bring
A feeling not even dark days can cloud
Sharing today with my family, they mean even more
There is A LOT I have to explain with this chapter. First off, this chapter, and many of the last several ones were not part of my original plot line. I was originally not going to have Bobby able to make it back until after Christmas, in part due to the various Christmas theme songs

The other thing I was really proud of was the poem. I originally told Dipper that my plan was to make it so almost every character got a line in my final poem, which I knew from the start was going to be centered around the word Christmas. When I mentioned this, Dipper then proposed a challenge. "See if you can make it so each of the lines is relevant to the character."
Dipper told me at the time that he expected it would take me a long time to come up with it, but, of the 37 chapters I had written, despite them all being much simpler to do and come up with, this chapter, and the challenge Dipper gave me, was the easiest of all of them to come up with. When I showed the final poem to Dipper, he was surprised I had pulled it off.
C - Spoken by Dipper, because he sings a lot
H - Spoken by Star, who often gives advice
R - Spoken by Trevor, who was thankful for the friendship Bobby gave him
I - Spoken by Greydon, who proves over and over that he'll be there to help when he's needed
S - Spoken by Jamal, who learns that he can get through anything with people he knows love him
T - Spoken by Shane, who was there for Jamal even though it meant dealing with his issues
M - Spoken by Kara, who reminds Bobby constantly of his ohana and how strong the bond is
A - Spoken by Sam, who helped Jamal through his issues
S - Spoken by Bobby, who is happy to have them all as a part of his life
The song and this poem made for the perfect end to the story, and I loved how it all turned out.
