
This is the (planned) epilogue to a story, but I'm not finished the story and won't be for a while. I figure that, by the time I'm done, most of you will have forgotten about this post.
I don't know whether or not this will actually be the epilogue, but it's a fitting end to it.
I call it a lullaby for two reasons. The first being that my character, Ess, sang a lullaby to a corgi when he was feeling suicidal. The second reason being I sang this in my head while writing it. It sounds very mournful.
Not much of a lullaby, more of a lament.
The reason that this poem/thing is given a species and gender is that it is specifically in the voice of that character. Her voice is similar to the feeling of a clear stream running over pebbles that is disturbed by a light breeze.
